I created Acupuncture Practice Systems because I realized that the business knowledge, systems, and real-world experience that helped me build a thriving practice wasn't taught in acupuncture school and I wanted you to have access to it too.
I'm a Doctor of Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, business owner, and CEU instructor. Before I ever became an Acupuncturist, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business—a decision that ended up shaping my entire career.
Over the past 18 years, I've grown my practice from a solo operation into a multi-provider massage and acupuncture clinic generating nearly $2 million in annual revenue, with 13 treatment rooms and 24 employees. That growth didn't happen overnight, and it certainly wasn't because I had all the answers. It came from continually learning, improving, and building systems that made each next step easier.
I've always enjoyed the business side of my practice. Throughout the years, I read countless business books, learned from mentors, attended courses, and spent years refining the marketing, operations, hiring, onboarding, and leadership systems that helped my practice grow. Every challenge became an opportunity to improve the way the business operated.
For a long time, I assumed that was everyone's experience...
Then I started talking with more acupuncturists.
I kept hearing incredibly talented practitioners say things like, "I love treating patients, but I can't figure out the business side," or "I don't know how to get more patients," or even, "I'm thinking about leaving the profession."
That was hard to hear. I realized that many of the things that felt intuitive to me weren't intuitive at all—they were the result of years of business education and experience that many acupuncturists simply never had the opportunity to learn. That's what inspired me to create Acupuncture Practice Systems.
I wanted to share the knowledge, systems, templates, marketing strategies, and lessons that helped me build my own practice so that other acupuncturists wouldn't have to spend years figuring it all out through trial and error. I truly believe there are patients out there waiting for every one of us. My hope is that by sharing what I've learned, I can help more acupuncturists build practices that are both financially sustainable and personally fulfilling.
I don't believe there's only one "right" way to build an acupuncture practice. Your dream practice might be a solo clinic where you work three days a week. Someone else's dream might be a multidisciplinary clinic with a large team. Neither is better than the other. My goal isn't to help you build my practice. My goal is to give you the knowledge, confidence, and resources to build yours.
