I'm a Doctor of Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, business owner, and CEU instructor. Before I became an Acupuncturist, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business—a decision that has profoundly shaped my career.

Over the past 18 years, I’ve transformed my practice from a solo operation into a thriving multi-provider massage and acupuncture clinic, generating nearly $2 million in annual revenue, complete with 13 treatment rooms and 24 employees. This growth didn’t happen overnight, nor was it due to having all the answers; it came from my commitment to learning and implementing effective business systems for acupuncture that made every step smoother.

I have always embraced the business side of my practice. Throughout the years, I’ve read countless business books, learned from mentors, attended CEU courses for acupuncturists, and spent years refining the marketing, operations, hiring, onboarding, and leadership systems essential for my practice’s growth. Every challenge became a chance to improve how the business operated.

For a long time, I assumed this was a universal experience…

Then I began discussions with fellow acupuncturists.

I repeatedly heard incredibly talented practitioners express sentiments like, "I love treating patients, but I can't figure out the business side," or "I don't know how to get more patients," and even, "I'm contemplating leaving the profession."

These were hard truths to digest. I realized that many concepts I found intuitive were not common knowledge—they stemmed from years of business education and experience that many acupuncturists sadly hadn’t had the chance to acquire. This realization inspired me to launch Acupuncture Practice Systems.

I wanted to share the essential knowledge, systems, templates, marketing strategies, and lessons that aided me in building my own practice. My aim is to ensure that other acupuncturists don’t have to navigate years of trial and error. I firmly believe there are patients out there waiting for each of us. By imparting what I’ve learned, I hope to empower more acupuncturists to create practices that are both financially sustainable and personally rewarding.

I don’t think there is only one "right" way to establish an acupuncture practice. Your ideal practice might be a solo clinic where you work three days a week, while someone else’s dream may involve a multidisciplinary clinic with a large team. Neither approach is superior. My ambition is not to help you replicate my practice but to equip you with the knowledge, confidence, and resources needed to build yours.
